Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior.

WHAT IS
ABA

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior.

Research has shown that intensive ABA is more effective at producing significant and lasting improvement in children with autism than other therapies.

There is more than 50 years of research showing individuals with autism benefiting from ABA therapy and it is the only treatment recommended by the U.S. Surgeon General.

It is also the treatment of choice endorsed by The New York Department of Health, The National Institute of Mental Health, The National Research Council, The Association for Science in Autism Treatment and The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

Outcome studies have shown individuals who receive ABA during the early intervention years can make amazing progress (significant increases in IQ) and in some cases children have become indistinguishable from their neurotypical peers.

We are  a group of 4 BCBA's who have 20 years combined experience of working one on one with children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

L & J Behavior Consultants is managed by Lori Wigginton and Jennifer Morgan, who both have family members / relatives who have autism.

We understand first-hand the emotions and difficulties parent with autistic children face daily.

By being small, we ensure to not lose that connection with all of the families we work with.

I have been providing services to those diagnosed with autism and developmental disabilities since 2007.

Jennifer Morgan

M.S. | BCBA

I have been providing services to those diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities since 2007.

I received my education at the University of Memphis that qualifies me to practice ABA and work with those diagnosed with developmental disabilities.

As a sibling to a brother with ASD, I have witnessed first-hand how this can affect the whole household, even other siblings.

I have over 15 years experience working with adults and children with developmental disabilities. My primary area of practice is autism with a dual diagnosis component.

I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, my Master's Degree in Counseling from Freed Hardeman University and my Board Certification from Southern Illinois University.

I also spent 4 years prior to my ABA experience as an advocate for children with autism and developmental disabilities assisting families in navigating the IEP/504 progress. My nephew has been diagnosed with Asperger's and I understand from a family perspective how ASD can affect the family unit.

Lori is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 15 years of experience as a BA. She specializes in Dual Diagnosis and is most effective in working with the highly behavioral.

TESTIMONIALS

We can’t say enough about L&J Behavior. Jennifer and Lori helped change our lives and helped turn our then, 11 year old newly diagnosed autistic son from a boy that was hating everything in his life to loving school, complying with rules and receiving services that we didn’t know he was in need of. They were in our home weekly and became a part of our family. We were devastated when we moved out of state, but they still check up on us, and make sure we all are well, because they care that much. We couldn’t recommend a better ABA service.

They work to find the best way to help each child. They have helped my kids so much and have become part of the family. They go above and beyond to help with many things no matter the time or day.
