Applied behavior analysis (ABA) is the use of these techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior.
Research has shown that intensive ABA is more effective at producing significant and lasting improvement in children with autism than other therapies.
There is more than 50 years of research showing individuals with autism benefiting from ABA therapy and it is the only treatment recommended by the U.S. Surgeon General.
It is also the treatment of choice endorsed by The New York Department of Health, The National Institute of Mental Health, The National Research Council, The Association for Science in Autism Treatment and The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
Outcome studies have shown individuals who receive ABA during the early intervention years can make amazing progress (significant increases in IQ) and in some cases children have become indistinguishable from their neurotypical peers.

I have been providing services to those diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities since 2007.
I received my education at the University of Memphis that qualifies me to practice ABA and work with those diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
As a sibling to a brother with ASD, I have witnessed first-hand how this can affect the whole household, even other siblings.
I have over 15 years experience working with adults and children with developmental disabilities. My primary area of practice is autism with a dual diagnosis component.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, my Master's Degree in Counseling from Freed Hardeman University and my Board Certification from Southern Illinois University.
I also spent 4 years prior to my ABA experience as an advocate for children with autism and developmental disabilities assisting families in navigating the IEP/504 progress. My nephew has been diagnosed with Asperger's and I understand from a family perspective how ASD can affect the family unit.
Lori is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 15 years of experience as a BA. She specializes in Dual Diagnosis and is most effective in working with the highly behavioral.

How long will be child be in ABA therapy? There is no maximum or minimum amount of time that your child will be in ABA for. That is something that is not predicted. We work with every child and create a schedule that accomodates your familiy's and your child's needs to help them progress.
How long or frequent are therapy sessions? This depends on the child receiving services and the family’s schedule. Ideally, ABA therapy is scheduled three to five times per week for sessions lasting from 2-3 hours per visit. The ‘Gold Standard’ for ABA therapy is often touted as 30 - 40 hours per week. However, as mentioned above, we will work with you to create a plan and schedule that is accomdating for your family, all while helping your child progress.
Where do ABA therapy sessions take place?Services may be provided in the child’s home, school, or other community settings.
When do I schedule ABA therapy? My child already has numerous therapy appointments...We work to accommodate scheduling with all of our families. We understand that an additional therapy can cause some adjustment to scheduling, we work to minimize impact upon the child and the family.
We can’t say enough about L&J Behavior. Jennifer and Lori helped change our lives and helped turn our then, 11 year old newly diagnosed autistic son from a boy that was hating everything in his life to loving school, complying with rules and receiving services that we didn’t know he was in need of. They were in our home weekly and became a part of our family. We were devastated when we moved out of state, but they still check up on us, and make sure we all are well, because they care that much. We couldn’t recommend a better ABA service.
They work to find the best way to help each child. They have helped my kids so much and have become part of the family. They go above and beyond to help with many things no matter the time or day.
